🚀 iQ Efficiency Masterclass: Batch Quilting for Maximum Profit

😫 Are You Spending More Time Loading Quilt Tops Than Quilting Them?

If you own an Intelliquilter (iQ), you know its power. But if you’re a professional or a prolific hobbyist, you also know the frustration of the "Loading Penalty": spending precious time loading the frame for a small project that takes mere minutes to quilt.

Stop loading four times for four small quilts! It’s time to put your computerized system to work the way it was designed—for maximum, non-stop efficiency.

💡 Introducing: Batch Quilting with Custom Designs
This course reveals the advanced iQ workflow that allows you to load one giant backing, layer on multiple small quilt tops (pillows, runners, baby quilts), and program a unique digital pantograph for every single one—all in a single, continuous, highly profitable quilting session. It's the ultimate combination of speed and customization.

What You'll Master in This Course

This is not a raw beginner course but with attention to detail can be achieved by the dedicated longarm quilter ready to transform their studio efficiency.

Here's a look at what you'll master and why it matters:

  • The Blueprint for Speed
-The Math of Profit: Understand exactly how much time and money the "Loading Penalty" is costing you and how to eliminate it.
-The Strategic Layout: Learn critical spacing strategies for placing multiple, different-sized quilts on a single backing.
-Material Selection: Tips for choosing the perfect universal backing and batting for multi-project loads.
  • Seamless Pattern Integration
-Unique Designs, Same Load: Assign a fluffy feather pattern to the baby quilt, a modern geometric to the runner, and a swirl to the pillow—all within the same program file.
-Independent Scaling: Learn to resize, adjust density, and fine-tune the scale of each pantograph design individually to perfectly suit its specific quilt top.
-Sequencing for Flow: Develop a logical, travel-optimized stitch sequence to move the machine seamlessly from the last row of Quilt A to the first row of Quilt B.
  • iQ Mapping and Boundary Secrets
-Mapping the Impossible: Use the Mark on Quilt tool or Enter dimensions manually to define 3, 4, or even 5 separate project boundaries within one large quilt map.
-The Efficiency of Clipping blocks: The fast way to contain pattern designs to block boundaries (works on BasIQ-Panto only systems)
-The Power of Separation: Master the No-Sew Zone feature—the secret to defining your cutting lines and preventing pattern creep.
  • The Continuous Stitch-Out
-Critical Transitions: Configure iQ for flawless transitions, correctly using Stop to Cut Threads or Tie Off where projects meet, while maintaining Continuous stitching within the project body.
-Guarding Your Investment: Implement a final Stay Stitch around the perimeter of every finished project to lock all stitches and prevent unraveling when they are trimmed from the main backing.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

To complete this workflow, your iQ system must support the ability to define Block Patterns, set No-Sew Zones, utilize Mark on Quilt for accurate mapping, and customize Stitching Sequences and Transitions. These are standard features in most modern iQ systems.

We recommend you are comfortable with basic iQ operations (loading digital patterns, setting up a standard pantograph, and general machine movement) before enrolling. This course focuses on an advanced, complex workflow.

Absolutely not! That is the core value of this course. You will learn to assign completely different digital pantographs to each quilt top loaded on the frame, allowing for personalized, custom quilting.

No, any standard digital pantograph file compatible with iQ (e.g., .IQP, CQP, DXF) will work. The course focuses on using iQ's powerful tools to adapt and manage your existing pattern library.

The principle of batch quilting still applies! You might only fit two or three projects on the frame at once, but the time saved by eliminating a reload for each project will still make the course worthwhile. The core techniques are identical.

Your enrollment includes lifetime access to the course and dedicated Q&A support within the course platform. You can post your questions directly to the instructor and the community.

The Intelliquilter (IQ) support and knowledge provided by Tracey Browning is first rate! Her experience as both an A1 Quilting machine &  IQ dealer and award-winning machine quilter are invaluable in assisting me with any technical issues I have had over the years. I am so impressed by her knowledge that I purchased a membership to IQ Machine Quilting Academy as soon as I heard about it. Highly recommend Tracey’s skill and know how!
