Transform Quilt Panels into Masterpieces with Your Intelliquilter

Introducing the "Quilting a panel with Intelliquilter
Course!

Do you stare at a gorgeous quilt panel, full of beautiful artwork, and feel a pang of uncertainty?

Have you ever tried to use a standard pantograph, only to feel like you're hiding the very details you want to highlight?

You know your Intelliquilter is capable of so much more, but you're not sure where to start when it comes to creating custom designs.  If you’ve ever felt frustrated by wasted potential or struggled to create a professional, polished finish on a panel quilt, this course is for you.

We've created 'Quilting with Panels using your IQ' to show you how to use your Intelliquilter's most powerful features to not just quilt a panel, but to design with it. You'll gain the confidence to make every panel a custom work of art that perfectly complements the fabric and showcases your skills.

What You'll Learn in This Course

This isn't a course on quilting basics; it's a deep dive into using your Intelliquilter to elevate your skills and give you complete creative control. We'll focus specifically on quilting panels, teaching you two powerful methods to turn design elements into stunning quilting patterns.

Here's a look at what you'll master and why it matters:

  • Method 1: Tracing and Refining.
What you'll learn: Use the trace/record feature to capture a design element directly from your panel. Then, you'll use the line pattern tool to clean up and refine the pattern, creating a precise, custom motif you can use anywhere on your quilt.
The Benefit: Stop settling for off-the-shelf patterns! This skill gives you the power to create one-of-a-kind motifs that perfectly match the theme and style of your quilt.
  • Method 2: Building with Paths.
What you'll learn: Discover how to use the path pattern in conjunction with the editing tools to create a continuous, flowing border design. We’ll also experiment with using no sew zones and the line pattern tool to seamlessly build and perfect your border corners.
The Benefit: Say goodbye to awkward corners. You’ll learn how to build seamless, professional-looking borders that frame your panel beautifully.
  • Background Designs & No Sew Zones.
What you'll learn: Master the use of a background design, like a cloud motif, and combine it with no sew zones to stitch around the main features of your panel without stitching over them.
The Benefit: This is where the magic happens! You'll create a striking layered effect that makes your key motifs pop and ensures you never quilt over the most important details.
  • Strategic Stitching Order.
What you'll learn: We'll show you how to strategically adjust your stitching order to avoid thread buildup and ensure a flawless, professional finish every time.
The Benefit: Eliminate messy, multiple stitching lines around your feature motifs. This simple technique elevates the quality and cleanliness of your final product.

Join us for a dynamic, hands-on workshop designed specifically for quilters like you, who want to unlock the full potential of their Intelliquilter system for quilting panels. Forget the struggle of making decisions and harness the elements that are already there!

NB: There is some freehand quilting in this particular panel as it is honestly quicker to use a ruler and/or freehand around some motifs to highlight them.
