How to create borders and corners to fit
1 Lesson -
A class by Tracey Browning
This class from Tracey will explore creating borders that fit with corners.
There are many gorgeous border and corner designed by digitising experts that when used together form a beautiful frame/border on your quilt. However, understanding how to use these together and scale them correctly to fit a border can be confusing.
We will be focussing on using some patterns supplied by Christy Dillon of My Creative Stitches, who generously offered her Let it Bloom designs to use in this class to understand better how to use them and make them work.
Learn some basic concepts and understand when to choose them. Then apply that knowledge to better utilise purchased border and corner sets from designers.
We will also be covering a number of editing tools to manipulate designs to fit unusual areas.
Tools covered are:
Line pattern
Scale
Rotate
Clipping
Distort
Split
Combine
Stretch
The Intelliquilter (IQ) support and knowledge provided by Tracey Browning is first rate! Her experience as both an A1 Quilting machine & IQ dealer and award-winning machine quilter are invaluable in assisting me with any technical issues I have had over the years. I am so impressed by her knowledge that I purchased a membership to IQ Machine Quilting Academy as soon as I heard about it. Highly recommend Tracey’s skill and know how!
